I'm terrible at word games so I figured I'd lose badly at this deduction thing, but the puzzle pieces are sturdy and the rules clicked after one round. My sister and I ended up playing for two hours straight.
The deduction rules are simple enough to teach in a minute, but the guessing gets genuinely tense once everyone's down to two marbles. Played it with my in-laws after dinner and nobody wanted to stop. The board itself feels solid too, not flimsy like the cheap version I had years ago.
Took this to a cabin weekend and it kept four of us arguing over deduction for two hours straight. The pegs fit snugly in the holes, which sounds minor but makes a big difference when you're passing the board around. Way more replayable than I expected from a classic.
