LYFE: Levitating Planter

Simply put, the Lyfe Floating Planter is mesmerizing. The geodesic pot hovers several inches above the wooden base while a real, live "air" plant grows inside. The most amazing part is that the planter really is floating. In fact, you can pass your hand beneath it as it hovers in midair.

The secret to the levitation is an electromagnet hidden in the oaken base. Minimalist design renders the mechanism nearly imperceptible, though the unit does need to be plugged into an outlet. What makes the Lyfe Floating Planter so hypnotic is the way the plants inside gracefully twirl through the air.
