Time Since Launch

I kept catching myself staring at the digits roll over on the last zero. Bought it for my sobriety date and the stainless steel case has a nice heft without being bulky on a shelf.

I pulled the pin the morning my daughter was born and it's been ticking away on my desk ever since. Watching those digits climb past two years now, it's funny how a little counter can make an ordinary Tuesday feel like part of a mission.

The stainless steel body has a real heft to it that makes it feel like a serious piece of equipment, not just a novelty. I check it every morning and it’s become a strange little ritual I actually look forward to.
