The way Tanchis weaves together all the different sides of Munari—designer, artist, writer—into one coherent poetic thread is what really impressed me. The essay's structure keeps pulling you forward, and it’s dense enough to reward a second read.
Tanchis really captures the whole arc of Munari's work here, not just the famous bits, and that essay structure makes it easy to follow a thinker who never stayed in one lane. I've reread the section on his poetics twice already, and it keeps giving something new.
The way Tanchis weaves together Munari's many projects to find one coherent thread is what sold me—it never feels like a dry biography. I've read a lot of art theory, and this one actually makes you want to revisit the work with fresh eyes.
