Este estilo de pião de adivinhação foi introduzido pela primeira vez há quase 1.500 anos. Hoje, resta apenas um artesão no Japão com habilidade suficiente para transformar metros de fita em coloridos e rodopiantes piões. O tecido é enrolado à mão em torno de uma haste de bambu, o que torna cada Pião Rodopiante de Kyoto único. Uma tradição artesanal antiga, revitalizada para os tempos modernos.
