I bought this for my desk at work and keep getting distracted by the colored glass and beads tumbling inside. The reflections shift into these huge kaleidoscope flowers when you turn it slowly, way more mesmerizing than I expected.
The three-mirror system really does something different from the cheap tube kaleidoscopes I had as a kid — the flower shape keeps unfolding into new patterns every time I twist it. I've left it on my desk and catch myself turning it during calls.
