箱根の山々を旅しているときに見つけた美しいパズルボックス。7種類の珍しい木材を使った構造にすでに感動していましたが、蓋がスライドして開くのを見たときは、思わず息をのみました。回転する仕組みは、カメラのシャッターや花が咲く様子を思い起こさせます。実は、デザイナーの岩原浩司氏は、ロボットアニメと秘密基地へと続く螺旋状の金属ドアに触発されたそうです。このコレクターズアイテムを手に入れるなら、箱を開けたと思ってもカタカタと音がすることに気づくかもしれません。それは、まだ見つかっていない小さな宝物が残っている証拠です。このパズルボックスは「秘密基地」から着想を得ていることをお忘れなく。
紫檀、桂、オーク、ウォールナット、パドゥーク、古代桂、欅（ケヤキ）を使用した手作り。数量は非常に限られています。

I’ve spent a full evening just sliding the panels back and forth, and the mechanism is so smooth it’s almost hypnotic. The wood grain on the outside is stunning, but the real joy is the little click when you finally line up the right sequence and the drawer pops open.
