The yosegi pattern on this box is absolutely stunning in person, and it’s clear a lot of care went into the joinery. Took me a good twenty minutes to find the trick, and that moment of discovery made the whole thing worth it. It’s now the centerpiece on my desk.
The maple wood feels wonderfully smooth in your hands, and the way the panels slide with that soft click before the compartment opens is deeply satisfying. I've spent a few evenings just fidgeting with it, and the yosegi pattern catching the light never gets old.
The yosegi pattern on the lid is genuinely stunning—the wood grain shifts beautifully in the light. Solution is straightforward once you find the first seam, though I wish the maple felt a bit more substantial in hand. Still, a lovely desk distraction that earned its spot.
