Hoy en día, solo queda un artesano en Japón con la habilidad suficiente para transformar metros de cinta en coloridos trompos giratorios. La tela se envuelve a mano alrededor de un tallo de bambú, lo que hace que cada Trompo Giratorio de Kioto sea único. Una tradición artesanal ancestral recuperada para los tiempos modernos.
