I keep it on my windowsill and the little crystal shapes really do shift before a storm rolls in — my neighbor swears by her barometer but this is way prettier. The glass feels solid and the wooden base has that old sea captain vibe I was after.

The crystal formations inside actually shifted the night before that big rainstorm we got last week, which was eerie and kind of amazing. The glass has a nice weight to it and looks right at home next to my old barometer.
